Janakieski urges citizens, companies to submit geodetic surveys for accelerated legalization process
Those citizens and companies that are willing to legalize unauthorized facilities need to submit geodetic surveys as soon as possible, Minister of Transportation and Communications Mile Janakieski urged on Tuesday.
The failure to submit geodetic surveys and legally unsettled property issues are seen as the key reasons that hinder the process of legalization, according to him.
"Citizens and companies must prepare geodetic surveys that are very affordable costing less than a euro. The deadline has been already expanded until 31 December 2015. There's still time left, but the citizens must not wait till the last minute," Janakieski stated after handing out legalization certificates in the Skopje municipality of Gjorce Petrov.
"Close to 100,000 facilities has been legalized thus far affirming the fact that Macedonia is one of the few countries that has been successfully carrying out the process. However, it will be closed once all 360,000 cases are settled," Janakieski noted.
Today certificates legalizing unauthorized buildings were presented to 38 citizens.
"The legalization process is one of the main priorities of the municipal administration. The process is very successful with 3,300 facilities being legalized. However, incomplete documentation, the lack of geodetic surveys, unsettled property issues are still seen as the biggest obstacle in the process, which we wish to complete by year's end," Gjorce Petrov mayor Sokol Mitrevski said.
At least 50 certificates are being presented every week in Gjorce Petrov municipality.
