On occasion of International of Persons with Disabilities, Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski paid a visit to association "Polio Plus" on Saturday.

Janakieski presented the ministry's project for reconstruction of the Skopje Railway Station, providing appropriate access for persons with disabilities.

The meeting focused on the ministry's activities towards faster implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which is to be adopted by the Parliament in the course of next week.

"Continual dialogue with these associations moves Macedonia a step forward in giving persons with disabilities access, primarily in public institutions", stressed Minister Janakieski, adding that access ramps have been installed in the new terminal building of "Alexander the Great" airport.
