FinMin Stavreski: TIDZs export at EUR 1,062 billion

The export rate growth is a result of improved competitiveness of Macedonia's economy, which is a reflection of the sound Government's policies, above all the introduction of lowest taxes in Europe, attraction of foreign investments and solid business climate for both domestic and foreign companies, Vice-Premier and FinMin Zoran Stavreski said on Friday.

He was commenting the statistical data on Macedonia's export rate in the first nine months of this year.

The export of the technical-industrial development zones (TIDZ) of EUR 1,062 billion is a confirmation of the successful concept for attracting foreign investments, Stavreski said.

Even when Europe registered no growth, Macedonian companies operating within the TIDZs managed to export their products. However the same refers to domestic companies that are not part of the TIDZs, Stavreski told reporters.

I believe that Macedonia is on the right track to conquering new markets and improving the export structure by offering high-technology products abroad, he added.
