At the opening of the Partnership Summit 2015 on Thursday in Jaipur, the capital of India's state Rajasthan, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski highlighted the Macedonian-Indian friendly relations and possibilities for bolstering the cooperation, in particular the economic one.
The economic, political relations have been registering an upward trend, especially after an intensive exchange of highest-level visits, Gruevski said, notifying his meeting four days ago with India's PM Narendra Modi, which showed that they share same strategic goal - the economy, investments, new jobs, better business climate and living standard for common people.
Referring to Macedonia's economic, overall achievements, Gruevski said that 'today it is a country that offers one of the lowest costs for doing business in Europe."
The country has been also investing in other spheres related to the economy, thus substantially improving the citizens' living standard, the PM said.
Macedonia offers excellent infrastructure and keeps working on its further improvement, Gruevski said, pointing out the ongoing construction of three highways, rail connection with Bulgaria, and the country's gasification project that is to be realized in the upcoming period. The country's economic growth is based on three pillars: construction works, high growth of export rate and foreign investments inflow, and consumption, Gruevski said.
He invited Indian companies to visit Macedonia and get familiar with the broad specter of opportunities it has been offering for economic cooperation, the Government said in a press release.
