Gruevski: Number of projects for rural development realized
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski toured Saturday the Kocani region, where he put into use a local road, visited the U.S. Amphenol plant and several construction sites.
He said the Government has realized a number of projects and built hundreds of local roads throughout the country.
"These investments aim at improving access and life in rural places throughout Macedonia. These projects improve regional networking, revival of many places, stimulation to the development of economy, agriculture, tourism and other sectors", stressed PM Gruevski.
Deputy-Agriculture Minister Vanco Kostadinovski said the Government would invest EUR 35 million in the construction of Recani dam and an access road.
"This project will solve the long-standing problem of drinking water and irrigation in Kocani, Vinica and Cesinovo-Oblesevo municipalities, along with the construction of a power production facility", said Kostadinovski.
