Skopje City Hospital to get new medical equipment, worth about EUR 2m
At yesterday's regular session Macedonia's Government decided to purchase most-sophisticated medical equipment of about EUR 2 million for the Skopje City General Hospital '8 September'.
Most of the equipment should be purchased and put into operation by the end of February 2016, Health Minister Nikola Todorov told a press conference on Wednesday.
The new equipment is aimed for the hospital's departments of cardiology, otorhinolaryngology, pathology, endocrinology, urology, transfusion, vascular ultrasound diagnostics, physical therapy and pulmonology, Todorov said.
"Purchasing of the new, most-sophisticated equipment will raise the quality and speed up the health services. Hence, the expectations are that patients will be more satisfied with the services they get in this hospital, which is the pillar of Macedonia's health care system," Todorov said.
