All citizens should enjoy cultural benefits, Kanceska-Milevska says
Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska – Milevska held meetings Saturday with directors of national institutions under Ministry of Culture's authority in Bitola and with Mayor Vlado Taleski.
Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska - Milevska assessed that directors of Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments and Museum-Bitola, National Theatre, Centre of Culture, University Library and newly established Museum of Albanian Alphabet are carrying out their duties successfully and with great commitment.
- We will restore three new façades with the Institute and Museum next year, and we plan to open gallery area in Yeni mosque. Three premiere plays were performed in Bitola Theatre this year and we will invest in Centre of Culture, University Library and Museum of Albanian Alphabet where we are preparing large museum display and we will promote it next year, Kanceska-Milevska said.
- In the cultural policy of the ministry, one of the priorities is the local cultural development. All citizens should enjoy the cultural benefits and that’s why besides projects for national institutions we are also supporting local projects, civil organisations and projects of an individual. On Jan. 20 we will publish annual programme of the Ministry of Culture including rich cultural mosaic of projects, Kanceska – Milevska said.
At the meeting between Culture Minister and Bitola Mayor Vlado Taleski it was reaffirmed that effective cooperation exists between local self-government, Ministry of Culture and national institutions in the sphere of culture.
- In 2012 we will begin the reconstruction of the cinema of Manaki brothers “Balkan” with original façade, interior equipment, wax figures of Janaki and Milton Manaki, Taleski said.
