Government constitutes working bodies, appoints secretary-general
The Government held Monday its first session, expressing its commitment to efficiency in the activities of its members, in the interest of citizens and the state, through fostering good cooperation and mutual respect.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has designated five deputies: Radmila Sekerinska-Jankovska - Deputy PM and Defense Minister; Oliver Spasovski - Deputy PM and Minister of Interior; Bujar Osmani - Deputy PM for European Affairs; Koco Angjusev - Deputy PM for Economic Affairs; and Hazbi Lika - Deputy PM for Implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement and Political System.
Regarding the ministers without portfolio, the PM has designated Robert Popovski for minister charged with communications, accountability and transparency; Edmond Ademi - minister charged with the diaspora; Adnan Kjahil - minister charged with foreign investments; Samka Ibraimovski - minister charged with implementation of the Strategy for improvement of the state of Roma in Macedonia; Zoran Sapuric - minister charged with regulations for improvement of the investment climate for domestic companies; Zorica Apostolovska - minister charged with foreign investments; and Ramiz Merko - minister charged with foreign investments.
Dragi Raskovski has been appointed Government's Secretary-General.
In addition, the Government constituted the Committee for Economic System and Current Economic Policy, Committee on Political System, and the Committee on Human Resources and Sustainable Development.
Special committees have also been established: Appointment Committee, Housing Affairs Committee, and Privatization Committee.
The Government also established the Steering Committee on Coordination and Management of the Crisis Management System, chaired by Deputy PM and Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski.
