The Government has extended the application deadline for project "Buy a House, Buy a Flat" by three months, i.e. May 31, said Wednesday Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski.

"The Government has met the requests by citizens, who have shown enormous interest for the project, as well as the construction sector, which asked for the extension due to the poor weather conditions that the time required for completion of documents required by commercial banks", said Stavreski.

He added approvals would be carried out monthly, in order to accelerate the procedure, i.e. shorten the period of the decision-making process and faster completion of the procedure. Thus, citizens would obtain their housing earlier, whereas construction companies would not hold empty flats.

Applications can be submitted in eight banks participating in the project - NLB Tutunska Banka, Stopanska Banka-Skopje, Ohridska Banka, Sparkasse bank, TTK bank, Alpha bank, Stopanska Banka-Bitola, and ProCredit bank.
