DM Besimi meets Turkish General Isleyen
Macedonia and Turkey have been nourishing excellent overall cooperation in all spheres, particularly in the sphere of defense, Minister Fatmir Besimi said Monday at his meeting with a Turkish delegation, led by Brigadier General Ali Sahin Isleyen, which is to attend tomorrow's ceremony honoring the 113th anniversary of the graduation of Kemal Ataturk in the Military High School in Bitola.
Besimi expressed gratitude for Turkey's continued support of Macedonia and briefed General Isleyen on the country's intention to restore the house of the reformer and founder of modern Turkey, Kemal Ataturk.
Speaking about tomorrow's ceremony, Besimi said Macedonia was being honored to be able to contribute to a celebration of significant events for Turkey.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality, General Isleyen reaffirmed the Turkish support of Macedonia's integration with the Euro-Atlantic organizations, and considering the verdict of The Hague-based International Court of Justice, he expressed hope for Macedonia's NATO membership to become reality as soon as possible.
