PM Gruevski meets Qatari Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski Sunday afternoon in Doha met with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani.
The meeting focuses on good relations between the two countries and commitment for their further improvement at all levels of mutual interest.
Gruevski informed about political reforms that the country is carrying out in direction to accession to NATO and EU, economic reforms, economic aspect of the visit of State of Qatar and meetings that government delegation has with representatives of Qatari companies, funds and agencies. The accent of the talks was put on advantages that the Republic of Macedonia offers to attract foreign investors and reviewing opportunities for realization of concrete investment projects by Qatari investors in Macedonia.
They also discussed improvement of economic cooperation and trade exchange as well as establishing modalities of cooperation in energy sphere, tourism and management of the technological industrial development zones.
Sheikh Jabor Al Thani expressed willingness for improvement of relations at all levels and gave political support on economic aspect of the visit as well as on Macedonian delegation’s efforts for realization of concrete projects with Qatari investment potentials.
Interlocutors expressed satisfaction from agreement that regulates relations between the countries and expressed intention for wrapping up legal framework of cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest especially in the sphere of health, medical science and education.
They referred to international relations, effects of global economic challenges and modalities for enabling further growth of economies.
Thanking for the both political and economic support given to the Republic of Macedonia by authorities of Qatar, Gruevski officially invited Sheikh Jabor Al Thani to visit Macedonia aimed at continuation of high level political dialogue and improvement of economic relations.
