Premier Nikola Gruevski met Wednesday with Albania's Parliament Speaker Jozefina Topalli for talks on the development of neighborly relations between Macedonia and Albania, which are characterized by a close cooperation, numerous activities and initiatives.

Gruevski at the meeting underlined Macedonia's strategic priorities in relation to EU and NATO integration as well as the activities conducted regarding the matter.

 Both interlocutors also discussed the economic cooperation between Macedonia and Albania stressing their mutual interest in intensifying this kind of cooperation.

The importance and need of accelerating road, railroad and energy connection between the countries was highlighted, especially with respect to Corridor 8.

The interlocutors concluded that Macedonia and Albania should continue their mutual support and cooperation related to European and Euro-Atlantic integration and enhancing bilateral economic ties.
