ARM exercise at Krivolak field
A methodical-demonstration exercise "Fire Support to Mechanized Infantry Unit in Assault", aimed towards presenting the training of the forces set to take part in the European Union battlegroup, was held at army field "Krivolak" on Saturday.
Macedonian Army (ARM) Chief of Staff, Major-General Goranco Koteski voiced satisfaction from the preparedness of units taking part in the exercise.
"The exercise included the unit that is scheduled to take part in the EU battlegroup alongside Germany, Czech Republic and Iceland. Our troops are not trained only for NATO peacekeeping operations", said Koteski.
Defense Minister Fatmir Besimi was also pleased from the demonstration, saying "Today's exercise showed a high degree of capabilities. This unit has the capacity and standards in line with NATO requirements".
