A Government delegation led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski began a five-day visit to China with the working meeting with Chinese delegation of Sinohydro state-owned company, led by its president Zhang Yunli. Sinohydro Corporation engages in electric power investment, infrastructure and real estate and is among five most renowned companies in the world.

Both parties expressed intention and urged for improvement of the economic relations between Macedonia and China. Macedonia’s investment opportunities and advantages for doing business have been presented at the meeting.

Sinohydro officials expressed serious interest for options for realisation of the investments in Macedonia and announced concrete steps for additional research of presented opportunities especially in construction investments.

Energy, hydro energy and infrastructural projects were the main sphere of interest for investment.

Pointing out the commitment for research of capacities of our country for investment, president Zhang Yunli announced that Sinohydro special delegation will visit Macedonia in the following period, after which business and technical analysis of the offered projects will be conducted.
