Defense Minister Fatmir Besimi met Tuesday with new Kosovo Ambassador to Macedonia, Ilber Hisa.

Interlocutors confirmed the excellent bilateral cooperation in the defense field, as well as Macedonia's readiness to strengthen Kosovo's defense institutions through transfer of experiences and development of strategic documents, as well as preparedness to put at disposal the country's national capacities - Military Medical Center, Krivolak army field and Regional Center for Media and Communications.

Moreover, Besimi and Hisa referred to the possibility for several Kosovo candidates to enroll at the Skopje-based Military Academy.

The meeting also tackled the opportunities for enhancement of bilateral cooperation, as well as Macedonia's position to support Kosovo's accession in all regional initiatives and the Euro-Atlantic integration process, the Defense Ministry said in a press release.
