PM Gruevski presents Macedonia's investment opportunities in Denmark
The Government's economic team, led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, is visiting Denmark on Thursday, to present the opportunities for investing in Macedonia. This is the first visit of a Macedonian PM to this Scandinavian country.
Today, Gruevski held talks with his Danish counterpart Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Parliament Speaker Mogens Lykketoft, as well as the Chamber of Commerce management.
Gruevski said he and Thorning-Schmidt discussed about Macedonia's aspirations to join NATO and EU and the problems that prevent their realization, namely Greece's objection to the membership status.
Greece has been blackmailing Macedonia to change its name, demanding Athens to rename our country, language and nationality, Gruevski said.
We have reviewed all details related to the name issue and the need for the international community to take more active part in its resolving, because its member Greece, in spite of breaching the law and undermining the EU, NATO values, has no problem and if it keeps acting in this manner, the settlement of this matter could be dragged for ever, Gruevski said.
At the meetings, we have also briefed our hosts on the possibilities for doing business in Macedonia, especially at the one with the management of the Chamber of Commerce, the PM said.
