Business visit to India yields results, says Gruevski
Indian companies have increased their interest in Macedonia. Several groups of Indian businessmen, i.e. less than ten companies, have visited Macedonia so far and they are definitely satisfied with the conditions in the country. I hope this interest will bear fruit.
This was stated by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Tuesday while answering journalist questions after inaugurating a new sports center in the municipality of Aerodrom in Skopje.
"I'm glad that our visit to India, the road show organized there, has been yielding certain results. The interest of Indian companies has been already increased. They are visiting the country to inspect things first-hand, to make market analyses... They are definitely satisfied with the conditions in Macedonia, but at the moment the companies are examining opportunities to make their products, where would it be sold and under which circumstances," Gruevski stressed.
He added that representatives of Sahara India Pariwar - who have visited the country twice to examine details on possible investments - were in the process of reviewing data collected in Macedonia.
"Initial information are positive, however a final decision on whether and when the company would invest is due to be made depending on further analyses," Gruevski concluded.
According to him, the visit to Qatar also resulted in two missions sent by the Emir to Macedonia.
"There is a pretty quick and satisfactory feedback from the investment presentations held in India and Qatar. Now it takes time, several months or longer, for the companies to make in-depth analyses to invest in Macedonia," PM Gruevski stated.
