BiH authorities to reopen Trajkovski’s plane crash investigation upon Macedonia's request
Minister of Transport and Communications has asked Bosnia & Herzegovina (BiH) counterpart Damir Hadzic to reopen the investigation on the plane crash in which President Boris Trajkovski was killed, along with the establishment of a joint working group.
Janakieski presented to Hadzic late Friday in Sarajevo a document containing new information related to the crash, the Ministry of Transport and Communications said in Saturday's press release.
The BiH Minister of Communications and Transport accepted the proposal, saying the closure of the investigation was in the country's interest, thus ending speculation over the causes for the accident.
Interlocutors agreed over the establishment of a joint working group comprised of Macedonian and BiH experts, which will produce a report by the end of September, reads the press release.
President Trajkovski and his associates were killed in a plane crash near Mostar on 26 February 2004.
