Government delegation kicks off U.S., Canada tour with business forum in Montreal
A delegation of the Government of Macedonia, led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski that also includes Deputy PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski, the Minister for Attracting Foreign Investments, Bill Pavleski, and the head of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones, Viktor Mizo kicks off its political and business visit to the United States and Canada on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the delegation led by PM Gruevski will attend a business forum in the city of Montreal, Canada, where the investment opportunities and benefits of Macedonia are to be presented before foreign investors, the Government's press service said.
The business forum is organised in cooperation with the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations and the local chamber of commerce. Before the event, Mr. Gruevski is scheduled to meet with the President of the Council and CEO, Pierre Lemonde.
The governmental delegation will visit the McGill University in Montreal to meet with its management and to discuss ways of establishing cooperation in the field of education and science. The university is one of the leading educational institutions in Canada.
The delegation will also visit SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. - the largest engineering and construction company in Canada.
Plans are also made for several talks with representatives of potential investors in Macedonia from Canada.
