Tikves wines presented to foreign diplomats
Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki together with several ambassadors visited Tuesday the winery Tikves as part of the project for promotion of Macedonia's export capacities.
"We are trying to promote export industries from Macedonia to the diplomatic corps in addition to the regular activities of the economic consular offices focused on boosting export and attracting investors. We want to motivate diplomats in Macedonia to discover fresh opportunities," Poposki stated.
Business diplomacy aims to focus on sectors with export potential. "The greatest benefit is economic diplomats to prompt curiosity and the establishment of contacts. Hence, there will be chances for striking deals," he stated.
Tikves CEO Igor Ilievski said that an opportunity was emerging for the winery to present its capacities to the diplomats and to pave the way for promoting Macedonian wine on foreign markets.
Over 50% of Tikves' revenue comes from export activities, according to him.
About twenty ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Macedonia were in attendance at Tuesday's promotion of wines by Tikves winery.
