Premier Nikola Gruevski and Minister of Education & Science Pance Kralev promoted Tuesday twenty-two new titles - part of the Government's project for translating 1,000 scientific books and textbooks being used at top universities in the United States and Great Britain.
"We have at our disposal the works of a pleiad of international authors, scientists, renown professors form the most prestigious universities across the globe...Education brings new capital to the state - new scientists and innovations. A development of an individual generates the development of a group, entire guild and hence of the state," Gruevski said at the promotion.
Today, the 42nd promotion of books translated within the project is being held, the PM said, pointing out that a total of 737 books have been translated, printed and distribute to the libraries thus far.
"We have the best that is being available in the world at the moment. Same textbooks for US, UK students are now available to their Macedonian peers, who in this manner will not only acquire better knowledge, but also boost their self-confidence...These books bring new value and therefore I appeal for them to be promoted, studied, exploited and become available to larger circle of people in our country," Gruevski said.
