PM Gruevski congratulates Alphabet Day to Albanian community in Macedonia
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski congratulated the members of the Albanian ethnic community in Macedonia on Albanian Alphabet Day.
"Celebrating such holidays in modern multi-ethnic societies is of great importance. Though them we foster tolerance, value mutual respect, learn about each other and live side by side... Only by respecting the ethnic and cultural collage, we provide full support to our civil society and establish the country as an excellent model and example for all our neighbours and countries in the region".
The Government of Macedonia, it adds, will keep on fostering and improving the interests and cultural features of all ethnic communities in Macedonia, including the Albanian one, which is an unbreakable part of the Macedonian society.
"I believe that with joined forces we will resume implementing the reforms in a bid to ensure conditions for economic growth and development of citizens' standards with a goal to build a strong, modern and prosperous Macedonia, which is a member of the EU and NATO," says Gruevski.
