Tourism, hospitality support through new financial instruments
The Government has secured four long-term financing credit lines for purchase, construction and adaptation of small accommodating capacities up to 70 beds, having a standard not higher than three stars.
"These credit lines under favorable conditions are aimed at stimulating the opening of new accommodating capacities, which are massively used in European states, representing a model for development of small and medium-sized businesses", said Government Spokesman Aleksandar Gjorgjiev at Saturday's press conference.
The financial instruments have been developed in cooperation with the Macedonian Bank for Development Promotion.
"These financial instruments represent a good opportunity for business development and foundation for development of the tourism sector. We urge all interested parties to apply for these credit lines, which are to be promoted before chambers of commerce and tourism associations in the coming period", stressed Mr. Gjorgjiev.
He added the measure was a good chance for those families working in the sector of hospitality to enlarge their capacities, but also open new ones.
