Government allocates more funds for tourism development, promotion
The Government has allocated Denar 148 million (EUR 2,4 million) for tourism development and promotion in 2013, which represents a large increase from last year's budget (EUR 1 million), said Spokesman Aleksandar Gjorgjiev at Wednesday's press conference.
The attraction of foreign tourists will be subsidized with EUR 1 million, whereas about EUR 900,000 are projected for conventional promotion of the country as an attractive tourism destination.
The Agency for Tourism Promotion will present Macedonia at the largest global fairs, including Russia, Austria, Turkey, India, China, United States etc.
