Macedonia's medical staff to be trained in Royal London Hospital
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski reached an agreement Monday with authorities of the Royal London Hospital that offered possibility for Macedonia's medical staff to be trained in this prominent health care facility.
Today’s' agreement should result in signing of memo of cooperation, under which a great number of physicians, nurses and other staff from Macedonia would get additional training in this hospital, Gruevski told reporters.
The Government believes that training of physicians is vital for a solid heath care system, as medical science has been advancing on a daily basis, Gruevski said.
"Therefore, we have launched a practice for our doctors and medical staff to acquire regular training in more developed countries," Gruevski said.
Ali Jawad, the Royal London Hospital Director for international cooperation, said there were many possibilities for cooperating with Macedonia.
British physicians are also interested in cooperating with their Macedonian colleagues. Jawad said. This is a two-way process and one may always learn something from the other, he added.
