PM Gruevski: Austria will keep supporting Macedonia
Macedonia and Austria have been nourishing excellent relations and cooperation. Austria will keep supporting Macedonia, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said Tuesday after meeting Chancellor Werner Faiman in Vienna.
At the meeting, Gruevski briefed his host about the latest developments in Macedonia related to the country's main problem, imposed by its southern neighbour.
"We have shared opinions about that matter and I hope, with our further efforts and the ones of the international community, as well as of our southern neighbour, for the issue to be resolved," PM Gruevski said.
I've expressed my wish for Austria to keep supporting Macedonia, as that support is being reflected in all spheres, he said. At all more-significant events, especially within the EU, Austria is one of Macedonia's staunch supporters, which is highly appreciated, he added.
Gruevski said his talks with Faiman addressed Macedonia's overall reform progress, in particular in the spheres of economy, judiciary, media, public administration...
Gruevski and Faiman also tackled the bilateral economic cooperation, pointing out that last year Austria was the second best investor in Macedonia.
Austrian companies, present in Macedonia, are mainly satisfied with their operations in the country. It is not only that case with Austrian, but also with all other foreign companies present in Macedonia, Gruevski said.
Earlier today, Gruevski held talks with authorities of the Allgemeines Krankenhaus der Stadt Wien (AKH) - the Vienna General Hospital on expanding Macedonia's cooperation with this prominent University medical Center.
