Macedonian delegation led by Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki attended Tuesday in Bucharest the second informal meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of  the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).

Addressing the forum, Poposki elaborated Macedonia's efforts for bolstering the regional cooperation. Recalling the 2020 Strategy, adopted in Ohrid during Macedonia's SEECP chairmanship, Poposki said the region’s integration with the Euro-Atlantic was the ultimate goal.

For turning this goal into reality, the countries of the region should have constructive cooperation with NATO and the EU, Poposki said. More intensive cooperation of all stakeholders in this processes is necessary, he added.

Economic projects, in particular the ones related to infrastructure, are also rather significant for the region, in particular for creating jobs and hence for improving the living standard of citizens, Poposki said.

On the event's sidelines, Poposki held talks with his colleagues. Poposki, as a former SEECP chair, along with the current and future ones - Romanian and Albanian FMs Titus Corlatean and Albanian Ditmir Bushati respectively, held a press conference after the informal meeting.
