Macedonian doctors to be trained at Munich University Hospital
Macedonia's Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski visited Wednesday the Hospital of the University of Munich and held talks with Director Karl-Walter Jauch and his management team.
The meeting resulted with an agreement on concrete cooperation between Macedonian health-care institution and this hospital.
Within the Government's efforts and program for education of largest possible number of physicians, we have agreed for Macedonian doctors to get training here for various medical treatments that are not available at home, Gruevski said after the meeting.
Walter Jauch said the Munich University Hospital was open for cooperation and would be pleased to welcome Macedonian doctors.
"We believe that we may help Macedonia via the cooperation and thus enable the best medical protection for its citizens," Walter Jauch said.
The University Hospital of Munich is one of the largest and most prominent research centers across the globe, ranked side by side with those in Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard. It is a center of high-tech medicine, innovation and patient care.
