Deputy PM Pesevski meets CEFA delegation
Deputy PM in charge of economic affairs Vladimir Pesevski on Friday held talks with a delegation of the Central European Fair Alliance (CEFA), led by its chairman Matthias Limbeck.
The interlocutors discussed ways stemming from the cooperation with this network of organizers of fair manifestations to establish intensive business contacts between its members.
"This type of international presentations contribute to improving economic conditions in our country, increasing trade exchange and opening new markets for domestic companies," the Deputy PM's cabinet said in a press release.
Deputy PM Pesevski pointed out the government' support for continuous work and commitment to networking with fair organizations around the world, highlighting the significance of this successful cooperation for Macedonia while looking for new solutions, opportunities and potentials to promote and present the country globally.
Pesevski said the successful cooperation of the Skopje Fair with other fair organizations was a vital benefit for Macedonian companies enabling favourable conditions for their presentation at fairs organized by CEFA members.
CEFA held its general assembly Friday in Skopje, which was attended by 14 officials of fair organizations from Central and Southeastern Europe.
CEFA is comprised of 26 members with 23 fair premises in 17 countries. It is estimated that CEFA members annually organize 420 events, have 135.000 exhibitors and over 9 million visitors and a turnover of approximately 500 million euros.
