Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on the start of the Ramadan fast sent a congratulation note Friday to the Head of the Islamic Religious Community (IRC) in Macedonia, Reis Ul Ulema Hadzi Sulejman Efendi Rexhepi and all Muslim faithful in the country, extending best wishes for festive days.

"For you the Holly month of Ramadan is a glorification of kindness, spirituality, joy and unity. Hence I wish you for the next days of fast and prayer to bring you pure thoughts and good deeds, which will lead to tolerance, overall progress and understanding of both your community and our common society. These are the universal values that each society and person needs, values we should aspire to, respect and nurture together”.
