Courtesy identified as shortcoming in several Central Register offices
The regional offices of the Central Register in Gevgelija, Stip, Bitola and Kavadarci must work on courtesy and the branch office in Probistip will have to make more efforts in observing the one-stop shop system, urged Minister of Information Society and Administration Ivo Ivanovski on Wednesday.
After visiting the Central Register and meeting with its director Andrea Popovski, Ivanovski said that the regional units in Bitola and Gevgelija had also failed in relation to the one-stop shop system according to a survey recently conducted by the Ministry.
"Having in mind that these regional offices do not deal with an enormous scope of working activities, it's astonishing that courtesy and the one-stop shop system are rated as being at the most unsatisfactory level," noted Minister Ivanovski.
He urged the Central Register to prepare recommendations and to conduct trainings in a bid to improve the detected shortcomings.
The citizens highly praised the remaining regional offices in several aspects, including hygiene, access for persons with disability, swift and effective settling of cases and no queues, added the Minister.
Welcoming the government's activities aimed at more effective administration, director Poposki said the Central Register was already taking measures to eliminate the detected shortcomings.
The Central Register is named the best state institution that provides services, a survey conducted by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration has showed.
"More surveys will be conducted and secret clients will be incorporated in all regional offices of the institutions in an effort to improve services," Ivanovski pledged.
