Gruevski: New express and regional roads to Kriva Palanka
The construction of Kriva Palanka – Makedonska Kamenica regional road and Rankovce – Kriva Palanka express road was announced Sunday by PM Nikola Gruevski during his visit to Kriva Palanka municipality.
The regional road will be 17 km long and the investment amounts €10 million. The preparations are underway and the construction of this regional road is to begin in the second half of 2015.
This regional road is important because the two largest lead and zinc mines in Macedonia will be connected and they will also be connected with cities Kriva Palanka and Makedonska Kamenica, Gruevski said.
Rankovce – Kriva Palanka express road will be 4 meters wide with similar characteristics of a highway.
The construction of Rankovce – Kriva Palanka express road will begin by the end of 2015 which will mean connection with Bulgaria. We are in the final phase of preparation for its construction, Gruevski said.
He said that the express road was financially supported by the World Bank and the regional road was supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
