Elementary school Kuzman Josifovski Pitu gets energy efficient facility and new playground
The elementary school "Kuzman Josifovski Pitu" in Kisela Voda settlement in Skopje got Saturday a new multifunctional playground and a reconstructed energy efficient facility.
The school is reconstructed with the funds from the UNDP and the budget of Kisela Voda municipality.
The school covers an area of 1.300sqm and has football, handball and basketball equipment.
PM Nikola Gruevski attended the opening ceremony, who said that all this represented fulfillment of the promises to citizens.
Quality education represents an important condition for creation of quality and creative youth as an important generator to economy and overall social development. Also the investments in the sport are important because they contribute in creating young generations but also in strengthening competitive spirit, Gruevski said.
Kisela Voda mayor Biljana Belicanec-Aleksic said that the school reconstruction and multifunctional playground emerged as a need to the citizens of Kisela Voda.
Director of the Agency for Youth and Sport Marijan Spaseski said that the construction of multifunctional playground would stimulate younger generations to be engaged actively in the sport.
Two sports halls and two multifunctional playgrounds have been constructed so far in this municipality, also two tennis courts and two multifunctional playgrounds are planned to be constructed in the following period.
