PM Gruevski meets British MPs Pritchard and Binley
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski held Monday talks with two visiting MPs from Great Britain, Mark Pritchard and Brian Binley.
The interlocutors praised the relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the United Kingdom voicing readiness to further improve the countries’ cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest.
Several current topics and areas were discussed at the meeting, including ways for strengthening the cooperation in business and trade, cooperation in relation to foreign investments as well as the EU integration process of the country.
PM Gruevski informed his guests about the reforms and measures taken in order to advance the opportunities in all social spheres, to improve standards and to settle the challenges that are significant for Macedonia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Macedonia highly appreciates the support from the UK in meeting its strategic goals, said Gruevski adding the support from any credible factor that could play a vital role in this regard was of great significance.
The British politicians Pritchard and Binley emphasized their commitment to support the advancement of the countries’ ties and the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Macedonia.
Referring to the business cooperation, the interlocutors stated a solid foundation had been established to additionally boost the bilateral relations by using existing potentials, first and foremost with respect to attracting foreign investments and increasing trade exchange.
Options were also covered to advance the cooperation in the field of agriculture, particularly with regard to exporting Macedonian agricultural goods in the United Kingdom.
Their talks also focused on cooperation in relation to education i.e. ways were discussed to establish cooperation between higher educational institutions from Great Britain and Macedonia.
