Macedonia, Vietnam sign agreement on economic cooperation
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Vietnam's Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan commended Tuesday in Skopje the good bilateral relations, which are being developed in the spirit of respect. They also discussed on possibilities for advancing the cooperation between Macedonia and Vietnam.
Gruevski and Thi Doan underlined the significance of today's signing of an agreement on economic cooperation, which along with the other ones on avoiding double taxation and protection of investments, set a legal framework for bolstering the economic ties.
The talks also addressed the Macedonian-Vietnamese cooperation in the spheres of education, namely exchange and support of students for enrolling universities of both countries. Furthermore, the officials shared opinions on advancing the trade, agriculture and the cooperation in the food-processing industry.
Gruevski and Thi Doan tackled the cooperation on multilateral scene within the United Nations and the International Organization of the Francophonie.
