Prime Minister’s Zaev European Agenda: Working visits to Brussels, Madrid and Athens, first visit to the Kingdom of Spain on Prime Ministerial Level

Today the President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, starts the European working agenda that includes working visits to Brussels, Madrid and Athens.
 
In the headquarters of the European Union in Brussels, accompanied by the Deputy President of the Government in charge of European Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov and the Minister of Foreign Afffairs, Bujar Osmani, Prime Minister Zaev will have working meetings with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, with Josep Borrell, VP of the European Commission and High Representative for Foreign policy of the EU, with the executive VP of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans and Oliver Varhelyi, Euro-Commissioner on Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement. 

During the visit of Brussels Prime Minister Zaev will also meet Augusto Santos Silva, Foreign Minister of Portugal, a member state and a country currently presiding with EU. 

Additionally, PM Zoran Zaev will also meet the MEPs Dacian Ciolos, President of the Europe Renew group, Ilhan Kucuk, rapporteur for North Macedonia and Miroslav Lajchak, special EU representative. 

From Brussels, PM Zaev together with the Deputy President of the Government in charge of European Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, will go to Madrid. 

In the capital of the Kingdom of Spain, on the first visit of this country on the level of heads of government, the President of the Government, Zaev, will meet the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, Pedro Sanchez and Pilar Llop Cuenca, President of the Spanish Senate. 

During the visit of Madrid PM Zaev will meet Antonio Garamendi, President of the Spanish Confederation of Employers. 

Prime Minister Zaev will complete his European agenda with a working visit to Athens, and will take participation at the Delfi Economic Forum together with the Vice Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs, Fatmir Bytyqi, the Vice Prime Minister in charge of European affairs, Nikola Dimitrov and the Minister of Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi. 

In Athens the President of the Government Zaev will meet the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. 

On the margins of the Delfi Economic Forum Zaev will have several separate meetings with Alexis Tsipras, former PM of Greece and leader of Syriza, with Tony Blair, former PM of Great Britain, as well as other political representatives from the international arena and representatives of companies and chambers of commerce.
