Ms. Marija Miteva is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law “Justinian I” at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and has passed the Bar Exam.

Professionally, Marija has extensive experience in the legal and political fields, with more than 10 years of progressive work experience. Her career includes positions such as Legal Advisor in the Government and Advisor for Normative Affairs in the City of Skopje. In recent years, she has been actively involved in politics, which led to her election as a Member of Parliament, where she has participated in the creation and review of significant laws and political decisions that shape the future of the country.

In terms of non-formal education, Marija has completed numerous trainings, including project planning for EU-funded projects, quality management in public institutions, gender equality, and media literacy. In 2022, she was part of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) program organized by the U.S. Embassy, where she expanded her knowledge in the field of international politics. Since 2021, she has also been an alumna of the Swedish Institute, having completed a module in the Young Professionals Academy on the topic of migration and integration in the Western Balkans.

In 2019, she took part in trainings on advanced methodologies for data-driven public policy making, organized by the International Republican Institute (IRI), as well as training on quality management in public institutions and resilience to disinformation, organized by the National Democratic Institute (NDI). As a member of the gender equality working group within the “Women Lead” project (NDI), she contributed to promoting inclusive governance and political engagement.

Marija Miteva is continuously engaged in political debates and forums, aiming to explore innovative solutions to key societal issues. Her commitment to lifelong learning and monitoring political trends is crucial for her effective governance and service to the citizens—particularly in the fields of politics and social sciences—enabling a better understanding and approach to socially responsible issues. She often emphasizes values such as integrity and professionalism, which she considers essential in daily work and social engagement. With strong principles, honesty, and a sense of justice, she is fully dedicated to politics and its advancement.
