Macedonia, China sign Cultural Cooperation Program for next five years

 

Macedonian, Chinese Ministers of Culture, Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska and Cai Wu, signed Wednesday in Beijing a cooperation program for 2012-2017.

At the signing ceremony they reaffirmed the good cultural ties between the two countries and expressed readiness for further bolstering of the cooperation, the Ministry of Culture said in a press release.

The new cooperation program is a sound base for developing the cultural ties and I expect that it will enable for great number of Chinese artists to be presented in Macedonia and vice-versa, Wu said.

The program's signing ceremony is part of  a promotion of Macedonia's folklore in China up to November 19.

This evening the exhibit "Macedonian Folklore" of Gordana Vrencoska will have the honor the open the event at the Beijing Jintai Art Museum. The exhibit will display photos, items, graphics, along with traditional folk costumes.

In the course of the official visit to Beijing, Minister Kanceska-Milevska visited several national institutions and held talks with chairman of the China Artists Association.

On Thursday, prominent folk ensemble "Tanec" will give a concert in Beijing Century hall, followed by another one in the city of Dalian.
