Minister Agon Ferati today welcomed the German Ambassador to North Macedonia, Ms. Petra Drexler. During the meeting, they discussed shared priorities for advancing processes that promote inclusion, equal opportunities, mutual trust, and the building of a more inclusive and sustainable society. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of continuing reforms and maintaining political commitment as key factors in the country's path toward integration into the European Union.
The Minister briefed the Ambassador on the Ministry of Intercommunity Relations' annual program and the planned activities aimed at making a direct contribution to strengthening social cohesion, promoting dialogue, and reinforcing trust among ethnic communities. In this context, they underscored the need to continue joint institutional efforts to foster a stable climate of cooperation and mutual understanding.
The meeting also addressed upcoming projects and opportunities for implementing new initiatives of common interest. Particular attention was given to the active involvement of young people in consultative processes during the drafting of strategies, as well as in the implementation of the Ministry's various activities. The objective is to ensure that their voices and perspectives become an integral part of future policies and projects that contribute to the development of society and the country's closer integration with the European Union.
