Minister of Public Administration, Goran Minchev, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Public Administration and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Albania, Adea Pirdeni, in Tirana.
The meeting took place within the framework of an event dedicated to the Open Government Partnership, an initiative that promotes transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in the public sector.
Minister Minchev and Minister Pirdeni exchanged experiences and achievements from ongoing reforms in public administration, emphasizing the importance of capacity building and institutional responsibility towards improving public services and establishing strong mechanisms to prevent corruption.
This was also an opportunity to discuss initiatives for fostering transparency and strengthening citizen and civil society involvement in public policy creation.
Minister Minchev expressed satisfaction with the successful cooperation with Albania and highlighted that North Macedonia and Albania share a common vision for a more efficient and transparent public administration, focused on accountability and efficient resource management. He emphasized the importance of the Open Government Partnership in building trust between citizens and institutions.
Minister Pirdeni, for her part, welcomed the partnership with North Macedonia, highlighting the need for joint work and sharing best practices, especially in the fight against corruption. She expressed Albania’s readiness to deepen cooperation with North Macedonia through joint projects and initiatives that will contribute to creating a more efficient and transparent public administration.
This bilateral meeting confirmed the commitment of both countries to open and accountable governance, and their joint efforts will contribute to the development of an inclusive and democratic society.
